This remodeled 1960’s post and beam residence located in the hills of Brentwood is home to partner Nicole Starr and her family.

A wall of glass in the double height living room captures expansive canyon views. We chose a quiet palette of natural oak to complement the original tongue and groove wood ceilings. Upstairs, the cantilevered wood deck beams echo the original heavy roof framing.

We planted native oak trees and shrubs, complemented by earthy gray-green wood siding to blend with the surrounding canyon. It’s not uncommon for deer to graze in our yard, and we enjoy nightly serenades from our resident owl.
